Axometrics

The core competence of Axometrics is the complete characterization of all polarization properties of an optical DUT. The company was founded in 2002 by Dr. Matthew H. Smith and Dr. Russell Chipman, two recognized experts in the field of polarization measurement. Since then, Axometrics has become the industry leader in the field of Müller matrices measurement.

In developing its polarization systems, Axometrics works closely with its customers and responds to their needs to continue to provide the best polarization measurement solutions in the world.

Axometrics systems can be used in a variety of applications. In addition to the classical measurement of LC display raw materials, microscopically small structures, such as millions of individual measuring points in smartphone displays, can now also be measured within a reasonable time. The systems are also used for the production of TFT films up to a width of 8m and any length.

The polarimeters from Axometrics measure the Müller-Matrix:

  • versus wavelength
  • versus coupling angle
  • over X/Y
  • verus temperature
  • in transmission or reflection
  • in the laboratory or in the production line
