Deuterium-halogen
AvaLight-DHc (low performance)
This fiber-coupled deuterium-halogen light source emits continuously from 200 nm to 2500 nm. The range 200 nm to 400 nm is mainly covered by the deuterium bulb, the range 400 nm to 2500 nm is mainly covered by the halogen bulb. The lamp operates exclusively in cw mode with a stability of < 1 mAU. The light source couples about 0.2 µW (200-400 nm) or 7 µW (400-2500 nm) into a 600 µm fiber. The AvaLight-DHc is also equipped with a built-in TTL shutter, making dark current measurements very easy in combination with the AvaSoft.
AvaLight-DH-S (high power)
If more light output is required than with the AvaLight-DHc, the deuterium-halogen light source AvaLight-DH-S can be used. The light output is about 300 times higher in the deuterium range and about 35 times higher in the halogen range than in the AvaLight-DHc. At 656 nm, a dominant deuterium emission line is formed, which limits the dynamic range of the light source. The alternative light source AvaLight-DH-S-BAL avoids this peak.
The deuterium light source AvaLight-D-S can also be purchased for the pure UV range. The standard version (190-400 nm) or the deep UV version (175-400 nm) are available.
The focus of the collimating lens can be adjusted to the numerical aperture of the connected fiber to maximize the coupled power.
The built-in TTL shutter allows very simple dark current measurement in conjunction with an Avantes spectrometer and the AvaSoft
AvaLight-DH-S-BAL (high power, even spectrum)
The AvaLight-DH-S-BAL is almost identical to the AvaLight-DH-S. The AvaLight-DH-S-BAL uses a dichroic filter to drastically reduce the dominant alpha peak at 656 nm. Although the overall light output is lower, the dynamic range is 20 times higher than that of the AvaLight-DH-S.
The focus of the built-in collimator can be adjusted to the numerical aperture of the connected fiber. The built-in TTL shutter allows the dark current of the used Avantes spectrometer to be adjusted in combination with the AvaSoft.
