Atto IC – industrial inline colour measurement

The industrial inline color sensor Atto IC outperforms any RGB color sensor with its very high LAB color accuracy and enables industrial quality assurance in demanding, color-based applications at an attractive price.

The objects are illuminated with the built-in white light LED from a fixed distance of typically 10 cm (adjustable) and measured without contact. The LAB color value is determined from the entire recorded reflection spectrum with an excellent color accuracy of ΔE < 0.3.

The color sensor is configured as a stand-alone device via the display with control buttons. Up to 40 reference colors can be easily stored, the tolerance method and the accepted color tolerances can be selected.

When selecting the external control mode, an external trigger can then be activated by the PLC. The sensor returns pass/fail (Go/NG) and indicates in parallel with the status LED whether the sample is OK or outside the tolerance window.

The measurement data is also transferred to the PLC or the connected computer in log files and can be visualized here with the AttoDash software. Many options are available for setting the measurement method and the views of the measurement data, including statistical processing.
