Liquid Crystal-based Polarization Modulators
The FPM (Fast Polarization Modulator) series consists of liquid crystal based polarization modulators, which are able to vary the polarization of the transmitted light by an external voltage very fast. The components work vibration-free without moving components. This technique is used in Active retarder 3D displays.

* The polarization contrast is defined as the ratio of the desired polarization to the orthogonal component. The lower value applies to the polarization at applied voltage. The higher value applies to polarization without applied voltage.
** The switching time is defined as the time required to switch from polarization without applied voltage to polarization with applied voltage.
The relaxation time is defined as the time required to switch from polarization with applied voltage to polarization without applied voltage.
