Founded in 1983, EPIX, Inc. develops and manufactures computer hardware, software and printed circuit boards for the conversion, manipulation and storage of images and graphics. The company’s goal is to provide its customers with cost-effective solutions for demanding video and imaging needs. Typical requirements are the acquisition of images from analog videos, digital videos or scanners – i.e. the conversion of images into arrays of intensity data (“pixels”).
