Configurable analyzer for PAT

Phoenix is a configurable sensor for inline process analysis that has a modular design and can be flexibly adapted to changes in the process, even during production.
The sensor adapter supports a wide range of process interfaces and can even be used in hazardous areas, making it the only interchangeable process interface for hazardous areas currently available on the market. Thanks to its modular design, the components (spectrometer, light source, etc.) can be selected by the user from a wide range of approved suppliers as required. The available wavelength ranges extend from UV to MIR, and powders, liquids, gels and gases can be measured in transmission and reflection.

On-board processors convert the measured spectra directly into usable parameters, while the interface forwards these parameters to the process control system. This allows parameters such as moisture, chemical concentration, color or uniformity to be determined in real time. Chemometric models are used to process the spectra, which can either be created remotely by the user or by the manufacturer via the cloud-based platform.
Additional sensors are also installed inside the housing, which allow the temperature in the housing to be linked to the measurement data, for example.

The sensor has a connection to a programmable logic controller (PLC) for displaying process parameters and fault messages. The PLC also offers a full connection to control systems and options for remote maintenance and support. The control system allows models and methods to be stored and retrieved locally or via control systems.

The Phoenix is available in three different versions. In addition to the Ex version for hazardous areas, the Phoenix is available in an anodized aluminium housing for use in non-hazardous areas and in the laboratory version without PLC in a polymer housing.
