Lightnovo
The start up Lightnovo was founded in 2019 by scientists of DTU (Danmarks Tekniske Universitet) and developed a Raman technology for portable, miniaturized Raman spectrometers and compact Raman microscope systems. Lightnovo’s devices are characterized by high througput of photons from sample to detector, small size of the spectrometer, high reproducibility of measurements and exact calibration of wave number and Raman intensity (thanks to the patented reference channel).
The Raman spectrometers especially stand out with the integrated display, which allows the portable Raman device to exploit its full potential in field operation. Beside the long battery life of up to 4 hours, data bases can be bought or created by yourself.
By using the data bases you receive a direct recognition of unknown substances by displaying the spectra or the name.
In addition some of the Raman devices are certified by IP67 and fall-proof, among other things.
The Raman spectrometer can be used in many areas – from mobile in-vivo skin diagnostics, to forensics, to the analysis of chemicals, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, to crystallographic orientation mapping of solar cells.
