UV irradiation chambers and ovens
In addition to UWAVE’s UV emitters, there are also solutions for applications that do not require open UV radiation. Both irradiation chambers are lined with UV-reflective material on the inside and have contacts on the doors that immediately turn off the LEDs when the doors are opened.
Both chambers are operated via a display and a control panel, which are used to set an exposure time, provide safety authorization, and finally start the irradiation. The interior can be monitored through a UV-proof viewing window.
The more compact solution is the UV-OVEN, which features a chamber measuring 19 cm x 18.5 cm x 17.5 cm that is illuminated by permanently installed LEDs.
For larger samples (or multiple small samples) or production parts, there is the UV-CHAMBER, which consists of a combination of a chamber measuring 30 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm and a UCUBE area illuminator.
There are guide rails on the sides for a tray, allowing for different distances from the light source.
For an overview of the two models, their features and differences are summarized in the table below .
Applications
- Fluorescence measurements, inspection of safety markers, NDT (dye penetrant testing, magnetic particle testing)
- Curing of coatings, polymers, or adhesives
- Photoaging
- Disinfection using UV-C Radiation
Do you need a different wavelength? Perhaps a different geometry or more power? One of UWAVE’s strengths is its ability to address customer-specific challenges. We’d be happy to advise you in such cases as well!
