PHOTEK
Photek is based in St. Leonards-on-Sea in the southeastern United Kingdom. Since 1991, detectors and camera systems have been designed and manufactured there. Photek’s detectors and cameras are based on vacuum tubes that combine a photocathode with a multichannel plate (MCP) to achieve wavelength-specific or broadband image amplification, extending all the way to single-photon sensitivity.
As a result, the products are optimized for specific applications and are used, for example, in UV detection, combustion analysis, high-speed imaging, and photon, electron, or neutron analysis; they are equally valued in both research and industrial applications.
Photek’s product portfolio includes detectors, image intensifiers, camera systems, and the associated control electronics.
