NIRLine-Spectrometer for 900 up to 2500 nm
AvaSpec-NIRLine: compact fiber optic laboratory spectrometers up to 2500 nm
The spectrometers of the Avaspec-NIRLine are available with cooled or uncooled InGaAs detectors in a spectral range from 900 to 2500 nm.
All NIRLine spectrometers are fully compatible to the spectrometers of the StarLine and SensLine.
By selecting the appropriate grating and entrance slit, you can configure the spectrometer best suited for your application. The standard built-in replaceable entrance slit ensures maximum flexibility in various measurement setups.
In addition, all models offer two user selectable gain setting modes: “High Sensitivity” for measuring in lowlight conditions and “Low Noise” (standard setting) which gives you a longer integration time and higher signal-to-noise ratio.
The NIRLine spectrometers are available both as benchtop instruments and as OEM modules and are ideally suited for a wide range of applications, e.g. for
- Moisture content measurement of liquids, solids and powders for in-line and quality control purposes
- Quantitative and qualitative measurement of volatile organics such as ethanol and methanol
- Plastic characterization and material identification
- Irradiance measurements, such as solar monitoring
- Qualitative measurements of feed and food
AvaSpec-Mini-NIR: miniature NIR spectrometer up to 1750 nm
The AvaSpec Mini-NIR256-1.7 is the latest member of the AvaSpec-CompactLine family of miniature spectrometers. It has the size of a deck of cards, weighs 185 grams, is extremely robust and is powered via USB2. This makes it ideal for use in OEM applications, e.g. for food analysis or in the recycling industry.
By choosing the appropriate grating and the optimal width of the entrance slit, OEM customers can configure the mini-NIR exactly to the requirements of their specific applications. As with the laboratory instruments of the AvaSpec-NIRLine, the software of the Minis allows to select either “High Sensitivity” or “Low Noise” operating mode.
For single users a pre-configured model for 900 to 1750 nm is offered.

Software
All NIRLine spectrometers come along with AvaSoft Basic needed for all basic measurements and controlling your spectrometer, including basic data acquisition. In addition, there are numerous software add-ons. DLL libraries with programming examples are also available.
