Camera attachment HiCATT

The HiCATT camera attachment from Lambert Instruments (HiCATT stands for High-speed intensified camera attachment) can be used with a variety of high-speed cameras. For this purpose, it is directly connected to the lens and, by significantly increasing the sensitivity, allows taking pictures with enormous speed and resolution, even in very low light conditions.
Special features of the HiCATT are its extremely short exposure times (3 ns) and its incredibly high frame rates (up to 1000000 frames per second). The possibility to switch between different gate widths during the measurement also allows to react to changing light conditions.
Depending on the measurement setup, the HiCATT can be optimized in a customized way. In addition to amplifying the signal, it can also be used as an extremely fast electrically switched optical shutter that can be used either directly via the computer or additional control units. Different lens sizes (relay 1:1 to 3:1, 18 or 25 mm) and mounts (F or C) allow the HiCATT to be combined with most common cameras.
The HiCATT can also be equipped with an optional mechanical shutter that can be closed between measurements to increase the lifetime of the amplifier and is used to protect against excessive stray light or laser radiation, for example. It is mounted in place of the F lens port and can be controlled either via the HiCATT’s software or via an external TTL signal.
Due to the many possible modifications, Lambert Instruments offers a lot of choice. We are happy to work together with our customers to tailor this selection to the task at hand.
