Laser amplifier with integrated SHG element (MSL)

The MSL is MOGlabs’ approach to realizing some laser wavelengths that are otherwise difficult to access with sufficiently high output power. A tunable laser is installed in a housing with a Faraday isolator and an NLO crystal for frequency doubling. This provides power in the blue range for wavelengths that laser diodes alone can only provide up to 100 mW output power.

Possible wavelengths/ halved wavelengths are:

  • 740/ 370 nm
  • 798/ 399 nm
  • 922/ 461 nm
  • 960/ 480 nm
  • 1020/ 510 nm

However, other wavelengths can be made possible by other combinations of laser diode and NLO crystal, and another possibility is sum frequency generation (SFG).

Features
