Laser amplifier with integrated seed laser and Injection-Lock (ILA)

MOGLabs has developed a new technology for stable injection locking of Fabry-Perot (FP) laser diodes. Injection mode locking was previously impaired by extreme sensitivity to environmental drift: This is because very small changes in temperature, alignment or power can cause the amplifier diode to get out of alignment. MOGLabs has developed an automatic feedback system that continuously monitors the laser and makes small adjustments to the amplifier diode to maintain locking.
For example, in combination with MOGlabs’ stable seed lasers, the ILA delivers up to 1 W@461nm* for Sr cooling and 300 mW@399nm for Yb. These systems are a compact and cost-effective alternative to expensive SHG systems, whose beam quality is higher than that of TA systems.
So far, injection-coupled systems have been developed at the following wavelengths with the following output powers (according to the Faraday isolator):

370 nm/100 mW (Yb+, 50 mW from fiber)
399 nm/300 mW (Yb, 150 mW from fiber)
461 nm/800 mW (Sr, 400 mW from fiber)
480 nm/400 mW (Rb Rydberg, 200 mW from fiber)
509 nm/200 mW (Cs Rydberg, 100 mW from fiber)
657 nm/300 mW (Ca Uhr, 150 mW from fiber)
689 nm/300 mW (Sr MOT, 200 mW from fiber)
698 nm/300 mW (Sr-Takt, 200 mW from fiber)

The versatile platform offers many configurations. Please contact us for more information on this new cost-effective option for amplified, tunable lasers.
