Faraday isolators

MOGLabs’ Faraday isolators provide the outstanding performance required for demanding external cavity diode laser applications, including coupling with single-mode fibers and high-finesse optical resonators. High isolation of the wavelength used is essential to avoid frequency instabilities caused by feedback in the laser resonator.
One- and two-stage options are available with isolation up to 67 dB and transmission up to 95 %.
Possible apertures are 4 or 5 mm. Suitable for high output powers up to 40 W.

Spectroscopy reference(MGSA)

The MOGLabs MGSA is a compact atomic reference for the stabilization of tunable lasers. It uses saturated absorption spectroscopy with an alkali cell (Rb, Cs or K) to provide an absolute frequency reference. Beam expansion reduces the power expansion so that the spectral characteristics approach the natural line width. The laser can be PM fiber-coupled or free in space. A low-noise, amplified photodetector is included, which is compatible with the DLC series of MOGLabs laser controllers.
A separate, resonant Zeeman coil enables modulation for AC locking without modulating the laser itself.

Alkaline cells and Zeeman coils

HGas cells, in particular Rb, Cs and K, are frequently used as a reference for the frequency stabilization of lasers. Resonantly tuned coils can be used for Zeeman modulation to achieve AC (top of peak) locking without linewidth broadening.
