Encrypted communication by quantum entangled photons at 2.1 µm

by Kathrin Beckstein

Two of Chromacity’s laser systems,Chromacity OPO and Chromacity 1040, have been successfully used for research at James Watt School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow. The group of researchers led by Dr. Matteo Clerici and colleagues from the UK, Japan and Germany, have demonstrated the application of a new method for generating and detecting quantum-entangled photons at a wavelength of 2.1 µm.
