In the evaluation process for or against a light source, we check together with our customers whether it is suitable for the planned application to the required extent. To do this, we use the usual facts from the data sheets and our experience – and often this knowledge is enough.
In some cases, however, our customers need to know even more, such as the irradiance of a light source with a Lambertian beam profile – not only at any distance on the optical axis, but also at any point in the room. This makes it possible, for example, to determine the homogeneity of the irradiance at a certain distance on a defined surface (spectrally resolved, NIST-traceable).

Such inquiries are particularly exciting for our team and thanks to a new internal calculation resulting from this, we can now also answer this question quickly and easily.
