Handheld spectrometer IndiGo: New fluorescence and white light module for thin films

In recent weeks, Goyalab has added another new, customer-oriented module for the IndiGo handheld spectrometer: The Clamp Module has now been developed in collaboration with customers from the photovoltaic industry. This module allows the non-slip measurement of transmission or fluorescence spectra of thin samples, such as films from PV systems.
The excitation source can either be a UV LED or a broadband white light LED, as with the ring modules from Goyalab. Depending on whether you want to measure in reflection or transmission, the LEDs can be installed in the corresponding arm of the clamp module. The control functions as with the other modules and the selection of possible excitation wavelengths in the UV range remains the same.
Another class of thin layers that can be measured on the move are leaves. In the indoor farming research sector and also directly in the field, IndiGo spectrometers are used due to their mobility to analyze leaves during the ripening process or to monitor their life cycles, as shown in the illustration.
We will be presenting the Clamp Module, as well as all other new developments from Goyalab, at the LASER World of Photonics in June.
