From multispectral drone cameras to multispectral imaging systems and multi-camera systems
The range of multispectral snapshot cameras is broad and extends from 350 nm to 1700 nm, depending on the basic camera selected. A camera can detect between 2 and 16 spectral channels simultaneously. In addition to the eight standard configurations, multispectral cameras with customer-specific spectral bands can also be supplied.
Due to their low weight and compact design, the multispectral cameras are predestined for drone applications. As multispectral drone cameras, we offer a complete system with lens, mini vision computer, software and optional gimbal for super-stable recordings. Thanks to geotagging, the aerial images can be used directly for further analysis with data mapping software. Multi-sensor drone cameras with up to 4 selectable cameras (UV, VIS, NIR, SWIR, thermal), a sun sensor for exposure correction and RTK-capable GPS are also available.
Multispectral imaging systems with integrated lighting are also ideal for industrial, biomedical or agricultural applications. Camera, objective and lighting are combined in a dust and waterproof housing, the entire system including the separate control unit is IP67 rated. It can be controlled in a variety of ways via simple buttons, network commands or a GPIO interface. Not only plants in humid greenhouses can be monitored, industrial machine vision and installation on agricultural machinery is also possible.
In addition to these particularly popular products, there are also more specific designs in the Spectral Devices portfolio:
- Multispectral multi-camera systems that combine two cameras with the same perspective in one housing to provide a wider spectral range.
- 4-camera systems for microscopes that split the light from a microscope output into 4 optical channels, each with a CMOS camera and a total of 8 interchangeable filter holders. This means that bright field, fluorescence and polarization microscope images can be taken simultaneously with one device.
- Multispectral cinematography cameras that record with three synchronized 4K cameras with exactly the same perspective and up to 30 fps.
